How to Use a Pendulum
When beginning to use a pendulum, you can generally start right away but some people prefer to carry their new pendulum around with them for a couple of days in order to have the pendulum connect with their energy. You may also want to smoke cleanse it by passing it through smoke of a burning sage stick to purify its energy. You may also want to cleanse it under a full moon by simply placing it outside or on a window sill during the next full moon. You can use the pendulum anywhere or any time. When you ask your questions, your pendulum should move by itself, either moved by your intuition or a spirit guide who will work through you. Once you select your pendulum and feel that it is compatible with your energy, you can begin.
To begin, sit down and get comfortable. Try to choose a time when you are relaxed and stress free. When beginning, it is often easiest to rest your elbow on a table in front of you for support, allowing the pendulum to swing freely; or, you can hold your arm in a horizontal position. I like to hold it over the open palm of my opposite arm. The most important thing is that your pendulum can swing without being blocked.
The first step is to get the feel of the pendulum and how it will move for you. Ask your pendulum questions that can be answered directly by "yes" or "no. You will need to determine which directional pattern the pendulum swings for 'yes" and in which direction for 'no". Hold the pendulum in your hand and watch it closely and ask it for a "yes". Be certain you are not guiding the pendulum with your hand and that it is moving freely. Now address the pendulum and say, "Show me Yes". It will soon swing in one direction - which could be side to side, back and forth, or in circles. Now say, "Show me No". It should swing in the opposite direction or a different pattern like circles or wide arcs, no one way is incorrect.

Once you have determined the pattern for "yes" and "no" you can start asking your questions. Start with something easy such as, "Is it snowy today?", "Is it Friday?"
Once you get the hang of it, you can start ask the questions you are most interested it.. The more you work with your pendulum the quicker and more dramatically it will respond. If the pendulum does not move at all then just stop and try again at another time, just keep practicing!
Good luck, enjoy your amazing pendulum!
