An Orisha is a spirit that reflects one of the manifestations of God in Africa's Yoruba religion. Many Orishas have found their way throughout the Americas via the Atlantic slave trade and are now expressed in practices as varied as Santeria, Candomble, Trinidad Orisha, and Oyotunji.
Orunla (or Orunmila) is the Orisha of wisdom, knowledge, divination and human destiny. According to Yoruba, Orunla was present at the creation of humanity and the forging of souls, therefore he knows the true destiny of each and every soul. The worshippers of Santeria practices the reaching of one's true destiny. They seek insights for what they're currently doing that might run against their goal.
